We’ve covered contingency planning and supply chain resiliency several times over the years at NAPB, and we thought we were in good shape on this topic! However, we’ve realized we’re missing an important aspect of supply chain management – technology-related disasters. Most OEMs were affected to varying degrees by the CDK hack in June 2024, but this isn’t the only instance. Some of you have gone through ransomware or other cyberattacks in recent years as well. This session will cover OEM preparedness for technology disasters, identifying and mitigating an ongoing disaster, and recovering from a past event. We do not plan to take a heavily IT-dominated focus here; we’re more interested in how the business prepares and reacts.
