As OEM inventories finally return to normal levels after COVID, we’ve seen some impressive improvements to fill and inventory from a handful of OEMs. Gains are limited to a relatively small number of OEMs, so we’ll select a few high-performers (based on 2023 data, MetricWatch, and early indications from our information request) and interview inventory teams to cover topics such as:

• Planning technologies (and any recent changes or parameters)
• Managing supplier volatility
• Dealing with excess and obsolete inventory (which is at a relatively high level historically)
• Identifying and mitigating unnecessary or avoidable parts proliferation
• Other topics as brought up by OEMs
