At NAPB 2026, we will have two inventory sessions – one more tactical, focused on reducing inventory, and this one, which will be more strategic and forward-looking. In this session, we want to collect stories from OEMs who are trying something new with their inventory forecasting practices. This could be through using new systems and technology (AI, telematics), or through process changes (S&OP). We aim to have enough stories from OEMs to conduct this round-robin style, with each OEM sharing background on the change they made, the systems/technology required, and the impact of their change. Ducker Carlisle may also supplement this session with additional research, sharing our thoughts, and generating discussion around ways OEMs could use these new technologies in the future.
